There are a number of great
credit card offers
available out there, so how do you know which offer is best for you? The first thing to consider is if you are a person who is likely to carry a balance on a credit card. If so, look for
low interest credit cards.
Be careful to avoid misleading low introductory offers that will go up within a few months or as soon as you have accumulated a balance. This is where reading the small print is crucial.
If you generally do not carry a balance but do have a reasonably high revolving credit (common large purchases that are paid off quickly), you may consider a card with a rewards program. Frequent Flyer miles can be accumulated through some of the
airline credit cards
and can accrue free airline tickets or seat upgrades. If you would rather optimize the bottom line, some credit cards even offer cash back. If you use a
cash back credit card
and pay it off quickly, you can actually come out ahead.
Finally, if you credit is not the best or if you are just starting out in the world, you may need a credit card that caters to those needs. For students, there are a few great
